From June 29 to July 2, 2025, our Executive Director, Pervenche Aliman, had the honor of attending a working breakfast organized by the Swiss Embassy in Côte d’Ivoire. This exceptional meeting was attended by Ms. Elisabeth Baume-Schneider, a Swiss Federal Councilor on an official visit to the country, and several Ivorian women leaders.
As part of her mission to Côte d’Ivoire, Ms. Baume-Schneider expressed a desire to engage in dialogue with leaders committed to gender equality and social cohesion. She is a member of the Swiss Federal Council the collegial executive body of the Swiss government and is responsible for health, social security, culture, and gender equality.
COMMAN-YA, a leader in the field of women’s empowerment

During this meeting, Pervenche Aliman presented the initiatives of our incubator dedicated to women’s entrepreneurship, as well as the challenges we’ve faced and our plans for growth to continue strengthening women’s economic independence in Côte d’Ivoire.
Alongside COMMAN-YA, several organizations that share the same vision were in attendance, including :
Stop au Chat Noir,
the 1949 Library,
and the national coordinator of the UPR for the defense of human rights.
These discussions highlighted complementary initiatives promoting human rights and gender equality.
We extend our warmest thanks to the Swiss Embassy in Côte d’Ivoire for this invitation and to Ms. Elisabeth Baume-Schneider for her attentiveness and commitment.
Together, we champion what matters… and what we champion moves forward!
