COMMAN-YA raises awareness among female students at Péléforo Gon Coulibaly University in Korhogo about women’s entrepreneurship, leadership, and financial literacy

On August 20, 2024, at Péléforo Gon Coulibaly University in Korhogo, COMMAN-YA had the pleasure of hosting an inspiring session dedicated to three essential pillars for the future of young women: women’s entrepreneurship, leadership, and financial education.

This event was made possible thanks to the support of our long-standing partner, the U.S. Department of State, through the U.S. Embassy in Abidjan 🇺🇸.

The initiative aimed to equip the students to develop their entrepreneurial potential, strengthen their leadership skills, and acquire the basics of financial management. Interactive discussions and real-life testimonials demonstrated that, with determination and the right support, every young woman can take charge of her own economic future.

We extend our sincere thanks to the university administration: its President, Vice President, and Mr. Touré, head of the Office of Academic Affairs and Student Life. Their commitment was instrumental in ensuring student engagement and the success of this event.

In collaboration with the American Corner at the university, books from the Nouveaux Horizons collection were presented to the participants. These resources will enable the young women to deepen their knowledge and continue on their journey toward greater autonomy and self-confidence.

This event in Korhogo marks another step forward in our commitment to supporting young women in Côte d’Ivoire.
