HEC Stand Up in Abidjan: COMMAN-YA at the Heart of the Acceleration Program for Women Entrepreneurs

The year 2025 is off to a flying start! From January 6 to 10, 2025, several COMMAN-YA members joined other female entrepreneurs in participating in the prestigious HEC Stand Up program, held for the first time in Africa at the HEC Paris campus in Abidjan.
This pilot session brought together 15 women entrepreneurs from sectors as diverse as healthcare, food, fashion, textiles, e-commerce, business services, disability services, construction, and cosmetics.
Over the course of a week, the participants benefited from intensive workshops and coaching to strengthen their key skills and entrepreneurial mindset. The goal: to give them the tools they need to develop and grow their businesses in a sustainable and competitive manner.
Among the organizations represented were : BLÔ, L'Art-tisane La Mielleuse, Kidy Foods, and many other promising initiatives.
A highlight of this immersion was the meeting with Ms. Françoise Remarck, Minister of Culture and the Francophonie, and Ms. Nassénéba Touré, Minister of Women, Family, and Children. These discussions gave the female entrepreneurs the opportunity to present their projects and receive encouragement from leaders committed to women’s development and leadership.
The success of this pilot session also depends on the contributions of committed stakeholders. Among them are :
Visa Côte d’Ivoire, which enabled five winners of the She’s Next competition to join the program,
Stop au Chat Noir,
La Fondation Sephis,
and l’Institut Européen de Coopération et de Développement.
This synergy underscores the importance of strong partnerships in strengthening the women’s entrepreneurial ecosystem in Côte d’Ivoire and across Africa.
